Tyne & Queer announces Cluny 2 Mercury Fringe show

The Tyne & Queer Mercury Prize Fringe showcase will bring BONG II, THRAA and GREET to Cluny 2 in Newcastle on Tuesday 20 October 2026.

Tyne & Queer has put together a special double-headliner bill for the city-wide Fringe programme, with BONG II and THRAA sharing top billing and GREET opening the night. Generator describes the event as a meeting of expansive, heavy and atmospheric sounds, which feels like a neat summary of a line-up built for listeners who enjoy music with both weight and space.

The double-headliner format gives BONG II and THRAA equal room at the centre of the show, while GREET completes a compact three-act programme. Cluny 2 should be a strong setting for it. The room gives the music enough scale to land properly while keeping the audience close to the stage.
