The Temperance Movement Newcastle at the Students’ Union

The band returned in 2025 after a five-year hiatus, reconnecting with an audience that had stayed loyal through the break. That comeback has now turned into a fuller new chapter, with the Let It All Out Tour giving The Temperance Movement the chance to take their blues-rock sound back into headline rooms across the country.

Newcastle University Students’ Union should suit them well. The room is big enough to carry the weight of the band’s louder material, but still close enough for the quieter, more soulful moments to feel immediate. Phil Campbell’s vocals remain central to the sound, while the band’s mix of blues, rock and roots influences gives the live set plenty of dynamic range.

For long-time fans, the tour should offer a chance to hear established favourites alongside material shaped by the band’s return. For newer listeners, it is also a useful entry point into a group whose reputation has always leaned heavily on what they can do live.

A new chapter after the hiatus

Live Nation describes the 2025 return as proof that the audience’s connection with the band had not disappeared during the break. The 2026 tour now builds on that momentum with a proper run of headline dates rather than a handful of comeback appearances.
