Kidpunk

Kidpunk are a Newcastle upon Tyne pop-punk band whose music is fast, heavy and built around the kind of direct hooks that made the genre feel immediate in the first place. The band keep plenty of weight in the guitars without losing the bright melodic edge at the centre of the songs.

Their North East roots sit alongside a much wider touring history, with Kidpunk taking their music around the UK and into North America. That experience gives the band a broader live perspective than their grassroots beginnings might suggest, while the songs still retain the energy of a local punk show.

Newcastle remains the home base, but Kidpunk’s story is already one of movement: a regional band carrying its sound much further afield without sanding away the urgency that gave the project its character.
