Old Corpse Road are a Darlington-based black metal band formed in 2007. Their music draws heavily on British folklore, combining fierce black metal with melodic passages, spoken word, folk-influenced vocals and atmospheric sections.
The band take their name from a coffin road in the Lake District and have built a catalogue around folklore, myth and landscape. Releases include ’Tis Witching Hour… As Spectres We Haunt this Kingdom, Of Campfires and Evening Mists and On Ghastly Shores Lays the Wreckage of Our Lore.
Old Corpse Road have toured extensively around the UK and appeared at festivals including Bloodstock and Hammerfest, while remaining closely connected to the Darlington metal scene.
