Swindled are a five-piece art-pop band from Sunderland whose sharp harmonies, guitar-led songs and theatrical live shows have made them a familiar name on the North East gig circuit. The band bring indie-pop hooks, layered vocals and synchronised movement to the stage.

The band released their early EPs Counting Sheep and Leave the Big Light On before following them with What A Nightmare! in 2025. Its tracks move between guitar-driven indie, melodic pop and synth-led sounds, with lyrics about relationships, growing up and the pressures of everyday life. Their 2026 singles Endless Depression & Sexual Fantasies and Loved Up and Worried continue that direction.
Swindled have played headline shows in their home city and appeared at Kendal Calling, Lindisfarne Festival and BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Sunderland. Their live set mixes close vocal harmonies with choreographed movement and a sense of fun that carries through even the darker songs.
