Supergrass Bring 2027 Headline Show to NX Newcastle
Supergrass open their spring 2027 headline run at NX Newcastle on 26 April, drawing on six studio albums and more than 30 years of songs.
Supergrass Newcastle brings the Oxford band back to the city for a headline show at NX on Monday 26 April 2027. Doors are at 7pm, and Newcastle opens a wider run of spring headline dates that continues through Leeds, Manchester, Nottingham, Birmingham, London, Bristol and Portsmouth.

The NX date is the first currently listed show in Supergrass’s spring 2027 headline run, giving Newcastle an opening-night position before the tour moves to Leeds four days later. That makes the night more interesting than a routine catalogue stop, because it is the first chance on this run to see how the band shape a set from more than three decades of material.
There is plenty to choose from. Supergrass have six studio albums behind them, starting with the Number One debut I Should Coco and running through In It For The Money, Supergrass, Life On Other Planets, Road To Rouen and Diamond Hoo Ha. That breadth allows the live show to move well beyond the songs that first broke through in the mid-1990s.
I Should Coco remains a major part of the story. The album sold more than a million copies worldwide and introduced tracks including Alright, Caught By The Fuzz and Mansize Rooster. Later favourites such as Richard III, Sun Hits The Sky, Moving, Grace and Pumping On Your Stereo give the band enough depth to keep the set from becoming a single-era nostalgia exercise.
The 2027 dates also extend the second chapter of Supergrass rather than revisiting a brief reunion. The band split in 2010 and returned in 2019 for a successful international tour, with the years since showing that their live return has become something more sustained.
NX should suit the contrast in the catalogue. The room has enough scale for the obvious singalongs, but it remains compact enough for the sharper, faster guitar material to keep its edge. Support for Newcastle is still to be announced.
