Old Corpse Road, Fateweaver & Chumpwrecker at The Forum Darlington

Old Corpse Road, Fateweaver and Chumpwrecker at The Forum Darlington puts three North East heavy acts together on Thursday 24 September 2026. The Forum is billing the night as an evening of extreme North East music, and the line-up stretches from British black metal through metalcore to electronic breakcore and drum and bass.

Darlington five-piece Old Corpse Road headline. Formed in 2007 and named after a coffin road in the Lake District, the band have built their sound around British black metal and the darker folklore of the country. It gives the show a strong hometown anchor, but the support makes the bill much broader than a single-genre metal night.

Fateweaver are another Darlington band, formed in 2024. Their music pulls together groove metal, metalcore, hardcore and deathcore, with the band continuing to develop material after the release and later re-recording of their Americana EP. Chumpwrecker changes the texture again. The project from North East electronic musician Ian Hanratty pushes into breakcore, drum and bass and hardware-driven electronic noise.

Tickets are £7 in advance. Doors open at 7pm and the first music is expected at around 7.30pm. The event is standing, with a 16+ restriction and under-18s required to attend with an adult.

At that price, this is also a strong showcase for three very different corners of the regional heavy scene. Old Corpse Road bring the established catalogue, Fateweaver represent a newer Darlington metal band pushing onto the wider UK circuit, while Chumpwrecker gives the night an electronic edge that should stop the bill feeling too predictable.
