Grand Slam with Floods Of Spin at The Forum Darlington
Grand Slam play The Forum Darlington on 30 September 2026 with special guests Floods Of Spin ahead of their autumn tour.

Grand Slam at The Forum Darlington arrives on Wednesday 30 September 2026 with special guests Floods Of Spin, giving the venue a midweek rock show with a direct line back to guitarist Laurence Archer’s work with Phil Lynott. The current Grand Slam line-up honours that history while continuing to push newer material rather than treating the band as a purely retrospective project.
Archer is joined by Mike Dyer, Benjy Reid, Debbie Bonham and Rocky Newton. The set is expected to include tracks from Hit the Ground alongside brand-new material from the band’s forthcoming release. The Darlington date also comes just before Grand Slam head out on tour with Magnum, making The Forum a useful smaller-room stop before a bigger run.

Special guests Floods Of Spin bring a modern hard-rock edge to the bill. The trio draw on classic and contemporary rock, while their debut single Weapons Of Mass Distraction, released in June 2026, has already picked up radio support including Kerrang! Radio Unleashed and BBC Introducing. The Forum date is set to be their live debut, with songs from a forthcoming debut album expected in the set.
Doors open at 7pm, with the show due to start around 7.30pm. Advance tickets are £20, or £22 on the door if available. The event is standing and 16+, with under-18s needing to attend with an adult.
There is a good balance to this bill. Grand Slam have the history and established names, while Floods Of Spin arrive at the opposite end of the live journey, effectively introducing the band on stage for the first time.
The show takes place at The Forum Music Centre in Darlington. Tickets and current details are on The Forum’s official event page.
