Abnorm

Abnorm are a three-piece heavy alternative rock band based in Newcastle upon Tyne, built around thick guitar riffs, forceful drums and a vocal style that gives the songs a darker, more confrontational edge.

The band have developed through Newcastle’s grassroots circuit, where their heavier sound has placed them comfortably alongside alternative, grunge and hard-rock acts. Live shows have been an important part of that growth, including appearances on emerging-artist bills such as New Horizons Festival.

As a trio, Abnorm keep the arrangements direct and physical, with guitar, drums and vocals doing most of the work. That stripped-back set-up gives the songs plenty of space to hit hard without becoming cluttered, making the band’s live presence a central part of their identity.
