Central Arcade are a Hexham indie rock band who emerged from Northumberland in early 2024 with a guitar-led sound that leans into the sharper edge of alternative rock. The band quickly built momentum through regular live shows across the North East, developing a reputation in the region’s grassroots venues.
Their debut single Apple of Your Eye arrived in August 2024 and picked up support from BBC Introducing North East. Further releases followed before debut EP Matter landed in June 2025, marked by a sold-out launch show at Head of Steam in Newcastle.
That live momentum has continued into 2026, with Central Arcade appearing alongside Idle Hands and Stageminus at The Grove in Newcastle on 28 October. It is another step in a story that has so far been built as much on busy local stages as on the band’s growing recorded catalogue.
