FAWNS

FAWNS are an indie-folk duo connected to Newcastle’s grassroots music scene. Their music centres on close harmonies, acoustic instrumentation and emotionally direct songwriting, with guitar, banjo and harmonica forming part of their live setup.

The stripped-back approach gives the songs a warm, intimate feel, with the voices doing much of the work rather than heavy production. That makes the duo a natural fit for smaller venues and mixed acoustic bills around the region.

An appearance at Aelius Alternative Festival 2026 in Newcastle placed FAWNS among a broad selection of local and regional artists, strengthening their connection to the city’s current grassroots scene.
