Camille Jansen Newcastle comes to The Lubber Fiend on Thursday 29 October 2026 as the Paris-born singer-songwriter brings the A Slice of Life Tour to the city. Crosstown Concerts and Gigantic confirm the date, with doors at 7pm and the event scheduled through to 10.30pm.
Table Of Content
The tour gives Jansen a run of intimate UK dates rather than placing the show in larger concert halls, and The Lubber Fiend fits that scale particularly well. Its small room should keep the focus firmly on the songs and performance.
Camille Jansen Newcastle at The Lubber Fiend
Jansen’s music sits between singer-songwriter intimacy and understated alternative pop, with a sound that leaves space around the vocal rather than filling every moment with production. That makes a close room more useful than a large one, particularly for material where detail and atmosphere matter.
The Newcastle date also follows a period of growing attention around her work and gives local audiences the chance to catch the tour before the project moves into bigger spaces. Rather than relying on spectacle, the appeal is in hearing the songs in the kind of venue where quieter passages can still hold the room.
The Lubber Fiend’s wider programme often makes room for artists that sit between straightforward genre categories, so this booking does not feel out of place alongside its experimental, indie and left-field calendar. It should offer a noticeable contrast to the heavier shows surrounding it in the venue’s late-October programme.
