Chicane Newcastle brings Nick Bracegirdle’s long-running electronic project to NX on Saturday 24 April 2027 for An Evening With Chicane. The show starts at 4pm and currently closes the listed UK run after dates in Birmingham, Cambridge, Liverpool and Cardiff.
Chicane Newcastle closes the current UK run
The Newcastle date is the final show in the currently listed An Evening With Chicane UK series, arriving one week after Cardiff. That gives NX a useful place in the run, with the production already having moved through several cities before reaching its closing date on Tyneside.
The format also stands apart from a conventional late-night club booking. A 4pm start points towards a longer afternoon and evening session built around Chicane’s own catalogue, which spans the Balearic atmosphere of Offshore and Saltwater through to the UK Number One Don’t Give Up with Bryan Adams and later releases that kept the project active well beyond the original trance boom.
Chicane’s music has always worked slightly differently from harder club-focused trance. Nick Bracegirdle built much of the project around melody, ambient textures and the feeling of Ibiza sunsets as much as peak-time dancefloors. That gives an extended-format show more room to move between reflective material and the records designed to lift the room.
The Newcastle appearance also lands more than 30 years into a career that began in the mid-1990s. Chicane’s official Bandcamp currently lists NX among a wider 2027 schedule, while Eventim places Newcastle at the end of the UK sequence after the spring dates in Birmingham, Cambridge, Liverpool and Cardiff.
