Deltamanic Bring Midas Touch to Cluny 2 Newcastle
Deltamanic play Cluny 2 Newcastle on 19 September 2026 after signing to Lucidia Records and releasing latest single Midas Touch.
Deltamanic Newcastle comes to Cluny 2 on Saturday 19 September 2026, bringing the six-piece Scottish band’s mix of funk, soul, disco and rock to Ouseburn. Doors open at 7.30pm for the 16+ show.
The band formed in Alloa in 2021 when frontman Dean Oliver brought together a group of childhood friends. The line-up is deliberately busy, with three guitars, three singers, bass, drums and keyboards creating a sound that draws heavily on the 1970s and 1980s without treating those influences as museum pieces.
Deltamanic Newcastle follows a step up with Midas Touch
The Cluny 2 date arrives after Deltamanic signed with Liverpool-based Lucidia Records in early 2026 and released latest single Midas Touch in June. That gives the Newcastle show a clear current chapter, with the band moving beyond self-released singles into a more established label setup.
Their live trajectory has also grown quickly. Deltamanic’s first headline show at the Royal Oak in Alloa sold out in 2022, while later dates have taken them to King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut, McChuills and Room 2 in Glasgow. Festival appearances have included Belladrum Tartan Heart and Party at the Palace, while a Heartland Festival performance in 2025 put them in front of an audience of around 6,000.
That makes Cluny 2 an interesting contrast. It is a much smaller room than a festival field, so the multiple vocals and instrumental layers should feel particularly immediate. The band’s music depends on groove as much as volume, and the venue should keep the rhythm section and three-guitar setup close enough for the detail to remain visible.
The current single has also widened the band’s reach beyond Scotland, with independent radio support in the UK and US. For Newcastle listeners seeing them for the first time, this date lands just as that audience is beginning to expand rather than after the band has already moved into larger rooms.
