About The Gathering Sounds
The Gathering Sounds is a one-day multi-venue festival built around discovering new and emerging artists in Stockton town centre. More than 1,000 music fans attended the 2026 edition, which brought over 50 artists to seven stages before the festival confirmed its return for 25 September 2027. The compact town-centre format encourages audiences to move between venues and take chances on unfamiliar acts, making discovery a central part of the day rather than simply a supporting feature. The 2026 edition brought more than 50 artists to seven stages, with audiences moving between grassroots venues including The Point at ARC, The Georgian Theatre, KU, ARC2, The Social Room, The Link and The Green Room. Organisers have confirmed the festival will return on Saturday 25 September 2027.
