Following the release of her debut single, Vin Kay’s followup “Unspoken words” acts as a conduit for people that struggle to really be themselves through fear of being ridiculed.
Persian-born, this song uses chord progressions and scales that pay homage to Vin Kay’s upbringing, whilst also remaining contemporary by drawing similarities to artists such as Amy Winehouse through the songwriting.
Let’s make love and show it around
Let’s wake up hear nature sounds

This chorus line sums up the overarching meaning of the song – stop feeling like you have to behave a certain way to be liked, stop being agreeable, stop being something that isn’t you and just let the fuck go. Be passionate and exist without remorse.
I love songs like this that promote individuality and attempt to unpack the idea of loving deeply without fear. It’s very refreshing to see someone take such a mature stance with their songwriting and use their gift as an extension of themself.
Instrumentally, the song primarily exists behind a standard drum beat that gives the song some dance-ability. Combined with some wonderful guitar work and terrific vocals, I think this artist is definitely one to keep an eye on.
