The Glamz Newcastle | Trillians Gig Preview
The Glamz bring their North East 70s glam-rock show to Trillians Newcastle on 2 October 2026, opening a busy weekend of tribute-led rock at the venue.
The Glamz Newcastle brings a full dose of 1970s glam rock to Trillians Rock Bar on Friday 2 October 2026, with the North East act opening one of the venue’s busiest rock weekends of the month.
Table Of Content
The Glamz are listed by North East booking agency On The Case Music as a glam and 70s act, so the focus is firmly on the louder, brighter end of that decade. At Trillians, that material gets a setting that suits it particularly well: a small city-centre rock room where familiar choruses, guitar hooks and a bit of theatricality can land without any distance between the stage and crowd.
The Glamz Newcastle at Trillians
The venue pairing is a big part of the appeal. Glam rock was built around songs that were immediate, visual and designed to connect quickly with an audience. Trillians works in much the same way. The stage is close, the room is informal and the crowd is there specifically for rock music, so a set rooted in 70s glam does not need much introduction before it gets going.
There is also a strong local angle. The Glamz sit within the North East live circuit rather than arriving as a touring act with no connection to the region. That makes this more than a generic tribute night and gives SoundBite readers a local band to look out for among a month packed with visiting and tribute-focused names.
A strong start to Trillians’ October rock run
The date also sets up the first weekend of October neatly. The Glamz play on Friday 2 October, followed by VOLBEATen on Saturday 3 October. Later weekends bring Blink 18who, Metal Militia, Son Of Nirvana, Ozzbest and a Halloween night with Witches Sabbath.
That run gives The Glamz a useful place in the calendar. Rather than being tucked into a mixed programme, the show arrives at the start of a month where Trillians leans heavily into rock, metal and tribute culture. For anyone choosing a Friday night in Newcastle, this is the lighter, more flamboyant end of that spectrum before the programme gets heavier the following evening.
