American Wrestling

American Wrestling are a three-piece alternative-rock band from South Shields. The group describe their music as “loser-rock”, pairing a dry sense of humour with a bigger guitar sound than their stripped-back line-up might suggest.

Martin Francis Trollope handles guitar and vocals, with Glenn Coyne on bass and Grant Lagan on drums. After years spent playing in different bands, the trio came together to try something new, shaping many of their songs from books, home demos and ideas worked out collectively in the rehearsal room.
