Be Quiet. Shout Loud!

Be Quiet. Shout Loud! are a Teesside five-piece who have spent years turning indie rock into something louder, brighter and more danceable. Formed in 2008, the band mix disco-punk energy, electronics and guitar-driven hooks with a live approach built for movement rather than restraint.

Releases including Superheroes, I Won’t Sing 4 U, Answerphone, the Another Commotion and Fake Emergency EPs, and later material such as Sneak have given the band a catalogue full of punchy choruses and playful synth-led moments. Their sound sits somewhere between indie club music and punky guitar pop, with enough personality to avoid feeling like a throwback.

They have appeared at festivals including Twisterella, Stockton Calling and Lindisfarne Festival, while sharing stages with acts such as Electric Six, Toyah, Red Rum Club and Fickle Friends. That long live history is still central to the band’s identity: colourful, energetic and unmistakably Teesside.
