Hannah Robinson

September 10, 2026

Hannah Robinson is a Newcastle-based alt-rock artist whose music blends shoegaze atmosphere with heavier guitar energy and emotionally direct songwriting. Often described as dreamgaze, her sound can move from hazy, immersive textures into much sharper bursts of alternative rock without losing the melody underneath.

Her songs explore anxiety, curiosity, romance and emotional uncertainty, giving the dreamier production a more personal centre. Support from BBC Radio 1 Future Alternative, BBC Introducing, Radio X and SiriusXM has helped carry the project beyond the North East, while festival appearances including The Great Escape, Y Not and the Isle of Wight have widened her live audience.

Newcastle remains the base for the project, and 2026 includes a Playing Out appearance at Freight Island as part of the Mercury Prize Fringe activity in the city. It is a fitting setting for music that feels equally comfortable in an intimate alternative venue and on a larger festival stage.
