Hector Gannet are a North Shields music project led by singer-songwriter Aaron Duff, working both as a solo act and with a full band. Their music is closely tied to the North East coast, local history, landscape and community.
The project’s catalogue includes releases such as Big Harcar, Into The Deep, The Land Belongs To Us and later singles including “Seven Signs”. Across those releases, Duff’s songwriting draws strongly on North Shields and the wider coastal identity of the region.
Hector Gannet have become a familiar part of the North East live scene while also playing further afield. Their future dates include a November 2026 show at The Glasshouse International Centre for Music in Gateshead.
