Frankie Archer is a North East folk artist from Consett who is established in Newcastle’s folk scene. Her music combines traditional song, Northumbrian fiddle and voice with electronic production, manipulated samples, synths and drum programming.
Her work reimagines traditional material through a producer-led approach. Releases including Never So Red, Pressure and Persuasion and the 2026 album The Dance of Death move between archival ballads, contemporary electronics and the musical traditions of the North East.
Archer has appeared on Later… With Jools Holland, received national radio support and performed at festivals and venues around the UK. Her 2026 live schedule includes a headline date at The Glasshouse in Gateshead as part of The Dance of Death tour.
