The Last Time are a Sunderland indie-pop band known for melodic songwriting, close harmonies and a growing live presence around the North East. Their music favours bright guitar-pop arrangements and direct choruses, but there is enough warmth in the vocals to keep the songs from feeling overly polished.
The band formed in Sunderland and have developed through regional venues and youth-music opportunities, including support from Sunderland’s Young Musicians Project. That local grounding has helped shape both their sound and their approach to playing live, with the group gradually moving onto bigger bills across the region.
Shows in Sunderland, Stockton and Gateshead have helped The Last Time build an audience beyond their home city while keeping the band firmly connected to the North East scene that gave them their start.
