Foy Vance at The Glasshouse | Gateshead Gig Preview
Foy Vance plays The Glasshouse Gateshead on 16 October 2026 with Bonnie Bishop and Niall MacCabe in Sage Two.
Foy Vance returns to The Glasshouse in Gateshead on Friday 16 October 2026, bringing his current live show to Sage Two with support from Bonnie Bishop and Niall MacCabe. The Northern Irish singer-songwriter is touring behind The Wake, an album produced by Ethan Johns that draws together folk, soul and Southern blues while reflecting on loss, memory and the long shadow of family.

Vance has built a reputation around a powerful voice and songs that can shift from intimate storytelling into something much bigger without losing their emotional core. That should make Sage Two a strong setting for the set, particularly with the room close enough to keep quieter moments connected to the audience.

The new album sits at the centre of this tour, but Vance’s wider catalogue also gives the show plenty of scope. Earlier records including Hope, The Wild Swan and Signs of Life have established the mix of folk, soul and roots music that has become central to his live identity.
Support from Bonnie Bishop and Niall MacCabe gives the evening a fuller bill rather than a single headline performance. With the Newcastle and Gateshead live calendar already busy in October, this date stands out as one of the stronger singer-songwriter bookings in the region.
