LN return to the Winter’s End stage
For LN, it is a return to an event where they made an impression in 2025. Fronted by LN Hirst, the band draws on pagan and Norse influences, bringing folk instrumentation and theatrical presentation into heavy music. There is plenty of weight in the guitars, but the shifts between melodic passages and harsher vocals are a big part of the sound.
The Newcastle connection runs through the band’s work. Their video for ‘Shield Wall’, released in January 2026, was filmed at Anarchy Brewery in the city. The track takes its name from the defensive formation associated with Viking warfare, with the band using it as a nod to the supporters they call their Peasants. It is a useful introduction for anyone who has not come across LN at a local show.
Planet Rock named LN among the main support acts in its original 2027 announcement, alongside Beaux Gris Gris & The Apocalypse and Dan Byrne. LN’s individual performance date and set time have not been confirmed in the official information available, so fans should check the running order nearer the event rather than assume a particular day.
Who else is playing Winter’s End 2027?
The tenth-anniversary programme has four announced headliners: The Virginmarys on Thursday, Canadian blues-rock group Bywater Call on Friday, Stone Broken on Saturday and The Answer on Sunday. Other confirmed artists include Scarlet Rebels, Phil Campbell’s Bastard Sons, Ward XVI, Black Orchid Empire, The Dust Coda and Caitlin Krisko & The Broadcast.
Winter’s End is an indoor event based at Trecco Bay Holiday Park, with accommodation packages available alongside tickets for people staying elsewhere. Planet Rock has also made day tickets available. It is an over-18s event, and anyone travelling from the North East should check the official booking and access information before making plans.
