The Hanging Stars Bring Just A Day to The Forum Darlington

The Hanging Stars at The Forum Darlington arrives on Thursday 5 November 2026 as the London group bring songs from their sixth album, Just A Day, to the North East. Liverpool collective Sunstack Jones support, making this a strong double bill for anyone who likes harmony-heavy guitar music with one foot in classic Americana and another in modern indie.

The Hanging Stars recorded Just A Day at Edwyn Collins’ Clashnarrow Studios in the Scottish Highlands, with Teenage Fanclub’s Gerard Love involved in the process. The record continues the band’s mix of four-part harmonies, twelve-string guitars and melodic songwriting, while the Forum points to influences running from The Byrds and Big Star through to Spiritualized, Teenage Fanclub and Tom Petty.

Support comes from Sunstack Jones, whose sound leans into soul-psyche, dream-pop and warm Laurel Canyon-style harmonies.
