A New Nowhere are a Newcastle alternative rock band whose music sits in a modern heavy-rock space, balancing weighty guitars with melodic hooks and a polished sense of dynamics. The band have developed their sound through North East live dates, BBC Introducing support and a growing catalogue of original material.
The Never Be The Same EP is an important part of that catalogue, while tracks such as Downright Deadbeat show the more forceful side of the band. Their songs are designed to land with enough impact for a live room without losing the detail and melody that give the recordings their character.
A New Nowhere continue to appear on Newcastle bills alongside both local and touring artists. That steady run of shows has helped the band sharpen a sound that feels contemporary and heavy without drifting away from accessible alternative-rock songwriting.
