Boy Latex are a Newcastle experimental art-punk and noise project whose releases move between noise pop, post-punk and more abrasive DIY textures. The music is deliberately rough around the edges, with distortion and repetition used as part of the character rather than something to smooth away.
The catalogue includes SB / BS, Bad Film, Ninja Scroll Vol. 1 and the live release Lost in His Wet Dream. Taken together, those records document a project that has spent several years moving between short, jagged ideas and more sprawling noisy pieces without settling into one fixed version of itself.
Boy Latex remain active on Newcastle grassroots bills, including a November 2026 Little Buildings show with Every Face Becomes a Skull and Zilch Patrol. That DIY setting fits the music well, giving its more abrasive textures the space to feel immediate rather than overly controlled.
