Cazimi

Cazimi are a North East post-punk trio whose music draws together alternative rock, art-rock and darker atmospheric influences. With roots across Sunderland and Newcastle, the band sit naturally within the region’s independent scene while keeping their sound broad enough to move beyond straightforward post-punk revivalism.

Their songs favour angular guitar work, tension and atmosphere, balancing sharper rhythms with more spacious passages. That contrast gives Cazimi a sound that can feel restless and moody without becoming overly cold or detached.

The band continue to build through North East live dates, including a 2026 appearance at The Cumberland Arms in Newcastle with Suspicions Confirmed and Nic Wood. Those grassroots bills suit a group whose music relies as much on live dynamics as on the darker textures of the recordings.
