Hels Pattison is a Newcastle-based singer-songwriter whose music sits between indie folk, country and contemporary acoustic pop. Her songs favour intimate storytelling and warm melodies, with arrangements that leave enough space for the words to stay at the centre.

That stripped-back approach gives Pattison’s music a conversational quality, drawing on the emotional directness of modern folk and singer-songwriter records without becoming overly delicate. The acoustic side of the sound is important, but there is enough pop instinct in the melodies to keep the songs immediate.

Pattison has built her live reputation through regular appearances around the North East. A November 2026 show at Pilgrim Newcastle adds another hometown date, continuing the steady grassroots work that has helped her develop both the songs and the audience around them.
