Culann

Culann are a Scottish rock band from Irvine whose music blends progressive rock, folk influence and a strong sense of melody. The band’s catalogue stretches back more than a decade, with a sound built around vocals, guitars, keys, bass and drums and a willingness to let songs expand beyond straightforward rock structures.

Their self-titled debut album arrived in 2012, followed by releases including All Reverie, Evonium, The Great Ecumene, Rovers and Songs of Saints & Reivers. Across that catalogue, layered guitars, keyboards and shifts in pace give the music a broader, more dramatic feel.

Culann have appeared on North East festival bills including Aelius Alternative Festival in Newcastle, giving them a genuine regional live connection. They remain a Scottish band from Irvine rather than a North East act, with those appearances part of their wider touring activity.
