Lottie Willis is a Sunderland singer-songwriter making emotionally direct pop with a strong sense of place. Raised in the city and performing from a young age, she has developed from local youth-music programmes into an artist writing and releasing her own material while keeping Sunderland central to the story.
Recent releases including Rosie, Tired, Mirrors, Voices and Better of You show a clearer, more assured direction, balancing personal lyrics with contemporary pop production. The vocals remain at the centre, while the arrangements give the songs enough colour without overwhelming the writing.
Live appearances have become an increasingly important part of that progress, including regional shows, a hometown headline date and a BBC Introducing live series at The Glasshouse. With her music written, recorded and developed in Sunderland, Willis has a clear local identity without sounding limited by it.
