Drenched

Drenched are a North East heavy alternative band whose music sits between nu-grunge, post-hardcore and modern rock. Formed in 2020, they build their sound around dense guitar tones, shifting dynamics and the contrast between atmospheric passages and much heavier bursts of sound.

Influences including Deftones, Loathe, Tool and Sevendust can be heard in that balance between weight and space. The Grey EP arrived in 2024 with tracks including (in)sane and Cycles, followed by 2025’s Lost EP and songs such as Choked, Cure and Lost.

The band have developed mainly through North East shows, particularly around Newcastle, and have spoken positively about the strength of the local heavy scene. Festival appearances including Veritas have helped put Drenched alongside a wider cross-section of regional rock while the band continue refining a sound that can move between melody, tension and real physical weight.
