Me Lost Me is the future-folk project of Newcastle-based artist, musician and composer Jayne Dent. The music combines soaring vocals with atmospheric electronics, folk influence, art-pop, noise, ambient music and improvisation, often making traditional ideas feel strange and new again.
Dent has released several albums under the Me Lost Me name, including RPG and the 2025 album This Material Moment. Her work has earned support across both folk and experimental music, while live appearances have included BBC Radio 3’s After Dark Festival and the BBC Proms alongside Spell Songs, Royal Northern Sinfonia and the Voices of the River’s Edge Choir.
Alongside touring, Dent has worked extensively across the North East in composition, sound design, public art and collaborative projects. She has also been an Artist in Residence at Sage Gateshead and received the Paul Hamlyn Foundation Award for Composers. A December 2026 appearance with ATFK at The Lubber Fiend keeps that experimental work closely connected to Newcastle’s independent live scene.
