Ruled By Raptors

Ruled By Raptors are a North East post-hardcore band combining progressive riffs, heavy energy and melodic vocals. The group developed out of the earlier band Digits as the line-up and sound evolved, carrying some of that history forward while pushing into a heavier and more expansive direction.

The members have roots in Ashington, Blyth and Bedlington, giving the band a strong North East identity even as their live work has taken them to venues and festivals around the UK. Their music balances aggression with melody rather than choosing one over the other, which gives the songs room to move between technical guitar work and more immediate hooks.

Newcastle remains an important part of their live story, with a 9 October 2026 show at Anarchy Brew Co adding another hometown-area date to a catalogue of regional appearances. It is the kind of grassroots setting where the band’s combination of volume, precision and melodic lift makes most sense.
