The Lindisfarne Story is a live celebration of Tyneside folk-rock legends Lindisfarne, created and performed by Ray Laidlaw and Billy Mitchell. Both have deep roots in the band’s history, with Laidlaw a founder member and Mitchell later joining Lindisfarne after years working alongside members of the group.
The show mixes live performances with stories, archive material and first-hand memories from Lindisfarne’s career. Its set draws on songs including “Meet Me on the Corner”, “Lady Eleanor”, “Fog on the Tyne” and “Run for Home”, while the spoken sections trace the group’s rise from the pubs and clubs of Tyneside to national success.
At selected dates the show expands into The Lindisfarne Story Band, with additional musicians joining Laidlaw and Mitchell. The project continues to tour across the UK while keeping its North East identity at the centre of the performance.
Tour dates, history and official updates are available from The Lindisfarne Story’s official website.
