MAUVEY brings REAL LIFE NO DIGITAL Tour to Pilgrim
MAUVEY brings the REAL LIFE NO DIGITAL Tour and fresh 2026 material to Pilgrim Newcastle on 2 December.

MAUVEY Pilgrim Newcastle lands on Wednesday 2 December 2026 as part of the REAL LIFE NO DIGITAL Tour. Doors open at 7.30pm, tickets are £12, and the date brings an artist working across afropunk, electronic music and alternative pop into one of Newcastle’s smaller live rooms.
MAUVEY was born in Ghana and raised between the UK and Canada, and his music has grown around that movement between places and styles. His own Bandcamp describes the project simply as AFRO-CINEMA, a useful phrase for music that combines pop structure, electronic production, alté influence and a strong visual sense.
MAUVEY Pilgrim Newcastle arrives in a new 2026 chapter
MAUVEY released DOECHII in April 2026. The single follows a run of releases that includes Standing Ovation, PRAY FOR YOU and the BEFORE THE ALBUM projects, giving the Newcastle date a current body of work to draw from rather than leaving the set anchored in earlier material.
The REAL LIFE NO DIGITAL Tour puts MAUVEY’s live performance at the centre. That matters for an artist whose work crosses sound, image and presentation. Pilgrim is a close-capacity room, so the show should put the physical performance and audience connection ahead of the distance that can come with a larger stage.
His recent live history is already broad. MAUVEY has appeared at festivals and showcase events including Glastonbury and SXSW, while his work has also been recognised through BBC Introducing. Bringing that experience into Pilgrim gives Newcastle a chance to catch the project in a much tighter setting than many of those previous stages.
The venue is a sensible fit for the musical crossover too. Pilgrim regularly books soul, jazz, funk and artists who sit between established genre lines. MAUVEY’s afropunk and electronic approach stretches that programme in another direction without feeling disconnected from it.
The 2 December date comes with a clear current identity: a named tour, new 2026 music and a live format built around the artist’s own world rather than a standard support slot on someone else’s bill.
MAUVEY plays Pilgrim Newcastle on Wednesday 2 December 2026. Doors are at 7.30pm, tickets are £12 and the event is 14+, with under-18s accompanied by an adult. Check MAUVEY and Pilgrim before travelling for any late changes.
More Newcastle dates are listed in SoundBite North East’s Upcoming Gigs, while the venue programme is on our Pilgrim Newcastle page.
