About The CUT Newcastle

The CUT has been part of Newcastle’s underground music scene for more than 16 years. Its main room holds around 400 people, with the adjoining 100-capacity Loja SkyBar taking the overall capacity to 500. The venue has hosted established electronic artists alongside local and emerging DJs, while its regular programme also stretches into indie, rock, punk, post-punk and alternative music.

The CUT is directly above Tup Tup Palace. They are separate venues with their own programmes, so SoundBite will keep their listings separate rather than combining the two.
