Chyaro is a Newcastle-based hip-hop and rap artist whose music pairs immersive instrumentals with articulate, grounded lyricism. Born in London and raised in Jamaica, he brings those different places and experiences into writing that feels personal without becoming closed off.
Growing up around artists who used music to entertain, communicate and inspire helped shape his own approach. Rap became a way to document the world around him, turning memories and lived experience into reflective storytelling rather than relying on empty bravado.
Now based in Newcastle upon Tyne, Chyaro is part of the city’s wider independent music scene. His work sits comfortably between introspective hip-hop and more atmospheric production, with the emphasis firmly on what the song has to say as much as how it sounds.
