Goodnight Kid

Goodnight Kid are an alt-emo-rock band from the North East, bringing together early-2000s alternative influences with a modern melodic edge. The project began during lockdown in 2020, with songs taking shape remotely before the band developed into a full live setup.

Their debut single House (With A Balcony) arrived in 2025, followed by Rabbit and the Happy Like This EP. Across those releases, bright guitars and open-hearted choruses sit alongside quieter moments that give the lyrics room to breathe, allowing the band to lean into nostalgia without sounding trapped by it.

The line-up brings together musicians with links to other alternative projects including Club Paradise, Ghost Signals, Ivy Sky and St. Buryan. Festival appearances such as Veritas have helped Goodnight Kid establish themselves within the North East grassroots scene while their own identity continues to sharpen.
