STRAYS

STRAYS are a Newcastle upon Tyne band making alternative rock with a direct, melodic edge. Their songs are built around punchy guitars, immediate choruses and a sense of momentum that suits the city’s grassroots venues.

Early releases including Easy Come Easy Go and Summer Feeling were followed by Friends In High Places, Over The Edge and 2026 single On Top. The catalogue has grown steadily rather than all at once, giving the band space to develop from bright, loose rock-and-roll energy into a more settled alternative sound.

Newcastle is central to the project, with early material produced locally at Polestar Studios and live appearances placing STRAYS firmly within the city’s independent network. Festival dates including Veritas have also helped introduce the band to a wider regional audience.
