ivies

ivies are a North East indie-pop band whose music centres on melodic guitar writing, clean hooks and a contemporary alternative-pop feel. Their sound is accessible without becoming overly polished, keeping enough of the band-room energy underneath the brighter melodies.

The group have developed through regional showcases and grassroots gigs, using those live appearances to build an audience around the North East. Their songs sit comfortably in the space between indie-pop and alternative guitar music, with melody doing most of the work rather than heavy production.

That steady regional activity has made ivies part of the current emerging North East scene, with each new show and release helping the band define a clearer identity of their own.
