Risco

Risco are a Stockton-on-Tees trio whose music blends cinematic surf-rock, indie and sharp guitar-led songwriting. Their sound has a restless, widescreen quality, moving between bold riffs, melodic hooks and a slightly darker edge without losing the energy of a live three-piece.

The band’s Teesside roots are an important part of the project, with songs and performances shaped by the places and working-class surroundings they know. That local grounding gives the music character without turning every song into a literal regional reference.

Risco have become a familiar name across Stockton and the wider North East live circuit, where the punchier side of the band comes through most clearly. The combination of surf-rock colour, indie melody and a tight rhythm section gives them a sound that feels immediate on stage while still leaving room for atmosphere.
