Joe Bartley is a young North East singer-songwriter whose indie sound is built around personal lyrics, catchy guitar riffs and a direct live style. He began establishing himself on the regional circuit with debut material including Now or Never, quickly moving from small local stages into higher-profile support slots.
One of the biggest early moments came when Bartley stepped onto the stage at St James’ Park with Sam Fender, giving his music a much wider audience. Since then he has continued developing through shows at Newcastle venues including Cluny 2, where his songwriting and growing confidence as a performer have become increasingly central.
The appeal is straightforward: melodic guitar music with enough personality to feel personal rather than generic. As his catalogue grows, Bartley is gradually turning those early live opportunities into a clearer identity of his own.
