Kerrison Collective are a North East blues and soul band led by vocalist Rachel Kerrison, bringing classic blues influences into a modern five-piece live setup. The group’s sound is built around powerful vocals, contemporary guitar work, blues harp and a rhythm section that draws from jazz, funk and soul as much as traditional blues.

Kerrison’s vocal influences include Nina Simone, Aretha Franklin and Etta James, while guitarist Jack Davison brings a more contemporary blues approach shaped by artists such as John Mayer and Marcus King. Ronnie Semple’s blues harp adds another traditional colour, with Katy Scott on drums and Mike Riley on bass giving the band plenty of movement underneath.

The band have built a busy regional schedule across Darlington, Stockton, Newcastle, Sunderland and County Durham, moving comfortably between dedicated blues nights and grassroots music venues. That spread of shows has made Kerrison Collective a familiar name on the North East blues circuit.
