New Eye

New Eye are an alternative-pop band from County Durham, formed in early 2025 after two musical projects came together and quickly found a shared direction. Their sound sits between new wave, post-disco, art-pop and modern indie, with bright guitars, rhythmic bass lines and atmospheric textures giving the songs a polished but still lively feel.

Influences including Prefab Sprout, Deacon Blue, Talking Heads and The 1975 can be heard in the way the band balance melody with movement. Songs such as Thought of You, Orange Juice and All or Nothing show a group interested in sophisticated guitar pop without sounding locked into one decade.

Live development has been important from the start, with early shows at The Bunker in Sunderland and support appearances at venues including The Cluny helping the band shape the material in front of audiences. Their County Durham roots keep them closely connected to the wider Newcastle and Sunderland grassroots circuit.
