Social Habits

Social Habits are an alternative indie band based in Newcastle upon Tyne, drawing on influences that range from Fontaines D.C. and Phoebe Bridgers to Deftones. That mix gives the band room to move between atmospheric guitar music, more reflective songwriting and heavier alternative sections.

Early tracks including Fly and Evermore show that contrast clearly, balancing melody with a sharper guitar edge. The band’s live development has come through Newcastle’s grassroots circuit, where smaller venues and mixed alternative bills have helped shape the sound in front of an audience.

Newcastle is the clearest anchor for the project, with the band describing themselves as based in the city and continuing to appear on local bills. That makes their North East connection current and specific, even where individual members’ original hometowns are not publicly established.
