The Resurgence

The Resurgence are a Newcastle upon Tyne pop-punk band formed in 2024, drawing on the fast, melodic side of punk while keeping a clear connection to the North East live scene.

Their sound sits across pop punk, punk and skate punk, with the band mixing original material with the kind of high-energy approach that works naturally in smaller grassroots rooms as well as bigger local support slots. Early Newcastle and Gateshead appearances helped establish them on the regional circuit, and their live set has continued to grow around their own songs and a clear affection for the wider pop-punk catalogue.

That local connection is also reflected in the venues they have played around Tyneside, including Little Buildings and Downcast Studios. Their 2026 Northumbria Students’ Union date gives the band another step up, heading a four-band bill alongside Burnout, Type 72 and Kodiak.
