Zeta Point

Zeta Point are an experimental electronic power-pop act from County Durham, formed in 2024 by Jacob Elliott. The project pulls together darkwave, dreampop and trip-hop, giving the music a darker electronic edge while keeping melody firmly at the centre.

That balance places Zeta Point somewhere between alternative pop and atmospheric electronic music. Layered production, rhythm and mood do much of the work, making the project stand apart from the guitar-heavy side of the North East grassroots scene without feeling disconnected from it.

A 2026 appearance in The Forum Music Centre’s Live and Local series in Darlington places Zeta Point alongside Suspirium and Pretentious on a bill designed around regional artists. It is a useful snapshot of the project’s place in the current North East circuit: electronic, melodic and comfortable sharing space with much heavier guitar music.
