Carl H and Richard Gregory Go All Night at Cobalt Studios
Carl H b2b Richard Gregory play an all-night-long set at Cobalt Studios Newcastle on 4 December 2026 from 11pm.

Carl H Richard Gregory Cobalt Studios brings the pair to Newcastle on Friday 4 December 2026 for an all-night-long back-to-back session from 11pm. The event is 18+ and gives both DJs the full night to move through the deeper, more psychedelic edges of electronic music.
Carl H has spent years building Animals On Psychedelics around exploratory club music, while Richard Gregory’s own background stretches through London’s DIY and warehouse scenes. Their shared interest in prog, acid, techno, house and stranger dancefloor records makes the b2b format feel like more than a simple pairing of two names.
Carl H Richard Gregory Cobalt Studios goes beyond a standard b2b
With several hours to work with, the set can develop as an actual conversation. One record can pull the night towards trance, another can turn it towards acid or slower psychedelic house, and neither DJ needs to rush towards a fixed peak. That freedom is central to the appeal of an all-night booking.
Cobalt’s size should help too. The Boyd Street room makes the relationship between booth and dancefloor immediate, which is useful for two selectors who are likely to change direction according to the energy in front of them. Small shifts in rhythm can carry more weight when the room is this close.
There is also a strong shared culture behind the booking. Carl H’s long-running label work and Gregory’s involvement with underground parties both come from scenes where discovery matters as much as familiarity. That gives the night potential to move through records that might not appear in a more obvious headline set.
Anyone attending should bring valid ID and respect Cobalt’s no-camera policy. Check the DJs and venue channels before travelling for any late changes to entry or timings.
More Newcastle electronic dates are listed in SoundBite North East’s Upcoming Gigs, while the venue’s wider programme is collected on our Cobalt Studios page.
